Blob io is a multiplayer cell-growing io game where you collect mass, absorb smaller players and try not to become food for somebody bigger. Familiar stuff, just with way more modes.

How to play

Blob io starts simple: move around the field, collect food and grow. Smaller cells can be absorbed, while larger ones are better left alone until you have enough mass. Splitting launches part of your cell forward, which is useful for catching somebody, but it also leaves your mass divided and easier to grab. W throws out mass, while D and T make faster multi-splits.

The game has FFA, Teams, Experimental, Instant Merge, Crazy, Self Feed, TS2v2, Ultra and other modes. Matches also give XP, so you can level up and unlock things such as extra starting mass and skins. You can farm safely for a while, though sooner or later someone will try the same trick on you. Lowkey, half the game is knowing when not to split.

Tips

• Do not split if a larger cell is waiting close by
• Use your smaller size and mobility before chasing risky targets
• Try different modes because their pace and merge rules can feel very different
